A
conversation in poetry involves a bunch of poets and fellow
travellers (e.g. painters, photographers, translators) in an informal
conversation taking the form of the work itself; that is, people
respond in kind to each other’s creative efforts.
Everyone
has keys to the blog and can post when the spirit moves them. The
essential thing is that, what you post must be a response to a
particular work (or works) already posted. You need to declare each
time what you are responding to.
There
are no time limits and there is no obligation to post anything except
for when one is moved to respond. Of course all copyrights and moral
rights belong to whoever’s work it is. Whatever is posted is to be
regarded as draft material, as opposed to published work.
Membership
of the conversation is by invitation. This is a closed community, but
one that can choose to let new participants in. Practising members
may suggest new members to the group.
There
is no envisaged publication outcome for the project as a whole,
though ideas along these lines may well evolve along the way.
The
proposed starting date is January 1st, 2018. There is no
envisaged finishing line.
