Dominique Hecq # 7 - chaos - for Peter Boyle

Mirage. Miroir.

On the other side of the mirror: chaos. What to do with it? The chaos that needs putting into words so you can shake free from it. Chaos. [A long-cut. Sorry about that: I need to go through my mother tongue before getting back to you] /Life is a plural chaos akin to a forest the word poetic enters prompted by a secret sense of direction so as to devise some possible track, journey, adventure. Matter. Mud. Metaphor...

  1. I was hoping for an expert eye on my tentative translation (and extrapolation) from Spanish & French into Australian English...

  2. Sorry for the long delay. I've just read this today. A rough alternate version:

What to do with raw matter? With so much modelling clay? With chaos to express and at the same time to get out of? When I put a name on Chaos I think of what the poet José Angel Valente wrote: " Life is a multi-chaos. The speech of poetry enters it as if stepping into a forest, guided by a secret homing instinct as it sets about tracing the guiding thread of a possible route, a journey, an adventure"/ Mirror. Mirage.
